Scooting around the net promoting Meshiha any chance I can of course... and in the process of doing so I ended up on the forums over at the jesusfreakhideout.com website and in their forums basicaly the guidelines say to talk about a band in the forums that band has to for sure for sure be a christian band/artist. Looking around on the Meshiha myspace page I really don't see anything saying the band is a christian band. I went ahead and posted that topic on their forums anyway about Meshiha. But chances are the moderators will remove it if for example not even the Meshiha myspace page lists the band as christian under 'genre' category. You have Metal Grindcore Death Metal or something like that. Curious why the lack mention of this fact?.... of course its hard enough to visit a christian metal forum and tell them about a band that features members that previously put out an album entitled 'Molesting The Decapitated' of course I steer clear of stuff like mentioning that.... though I will clearly tell them the band features original founding members of the Texas band Devourment. Keep it very simple. I am also thinking maybe in this same regard perhaps Meshiha is taking less is more approach or something.... like not listing the band under the 'Christian' category on the official Meshiha MySpace page? I realize you prolly don't wanna have big picture of Jesus staring ppl in the face when they visit your page but to not even list the band in the 'Christian' category/Genre seems a lil weird. Would be helpful as a promoter of the band to clear this up so incase I get asked about it on a forum and have to come up with a answer.

Ha! sorry I was late responding, been a busy B" ;D
Yeah, I've never been one to beat people over the head with my Bible. YES we are a Christian band. NO we are not a typical Christian band in many ways, yeah MTD "ha" doesn't fly well in Christian forums I'm sure. Everyone has a past in some way, we only mention MTD etc because thats our previous music work, I'm sure people understand that regardless of there beliefs.
How much of our personal beliefs comes out in our music and in what ways is yet to be seen. We are all proud of our beliefs and are not ashamed to be "Christian" in a genre that predominately isn't.
For some thats a big deal on either side of the fence. Our beliefs, views etc are our sincere experiences, we hope people can respect that for what it is. Just as we respect others music even though our views differ as well ;D
Hope that answers your question! ;D

Thanks for the reply. I understand ya'll kneegrowz be workin hard on life in general, family, the band.... its a busy day at any one of ya'lls houses any day of the week i'm sure. So, again thanks for the reply.
Question: Do you foresee Meshiha at some point mentioning the fact that the band is 'christian' in nature on the bands myspace page? or is this going to depend on further development of the band as a whole to help decide what will be projected heavily and what will be beneath the surface so to speak?

Yeah, I'm sure we will, we have a lot of work in many directions. Its more about the music right now, yes the myspace needs re-vamping I know ;D but its not a big priority to me right now. The "Christian" tones, themes etc in MESHIHA are a part of our reality and our music so we will see how they surface ;D Like anything its a work in progress, we will get there my man ;D

This topic kinda reminds me of Zao. They call themselves a band of Christians but not a Christian band. They say "We're not selling Christ. We're just following Him."
Either way, as long as the music is slamming and brutal (which I don't doubt for a second) then I'm happy!

It's all about the music and it's good seeing band's like Meshiha and Discencubrance actually playing ultra brutal music and being better at it then most.

The time will come. Plain and simple. Brutal-Slamming-Groovage is near. Prepare. Lyrically... for me, its just words. Same as with alot of other bands. But... some bands ya lock into and 'connect' with lyrically.... we all have bands we look at like that. Looking forward to MESHIHA-2010.
